HAI  FRIENDS, I AM NOT ABLE POST FOR SOME OWING COMMITMENTS

HERE I AM GIVING MY PERSONAL TRIP TO JYOTHIRLINGA WHILE VISITING SHIRDI THIS MONTH. HOPE THIS DATAS WOULD BE HELP FULL FOR SOME ONE VISITS THIS SUMMER

Jyothirlingas around  shirdi.

SHIRDI is ideal place visit about 3 Jyothirlingas in Maharashtra, there are 100 km each form shirdi. If you stay for three days you can well cover all 3 jyothirlingas. There are many tourist operators in shirdi conducting jyothirlinga  darhsan trips.

1.     Bhimasankar:    this jyothirlinga is situated 120 KM ( 3 hrs journey by car, 5 ½ hrs by Bus from Sivajinagar bus stand) from Pune. 120 Km form Nasik, 200 km FROM Mumbai and 135 KM form SHIRDI.
This hill temple located  Sahayadri hills ( dense Forest region ) is orgin of  Bhima river. The lingam is a swayambhu lingam. Temple opens at 4.30 am closes at 7.30 pm. There is no proper accommodation facilities here. Better reach early and return before 6 PM.

2.       Triyambakeswar  is located at foothills of bramahagiri hills and orgin place of river Godavari is 28 kM form Nasik Town. This linga is also swayambhu linga, the Linga is having three faces of  Brahma, Vishnu and Rudhra. So it called  triyambakeswar          ( gods of 3 faces )   Due to erosion the  frequent usage of water. Now the gold cover has applied on the linga.  This is one of kumbah mela place, when the jupitor is in  sinha rashi( leo) the grand kumbhamela is celebrated.

There are many Places around nasik, which  are Muktidham, Kushavarta Tirth, Godavari Ugamsthan, Panchwati, Kalaram- Goraram, Seetha Gupta, Kapaleshwar Mandir, Ramkund triveni sangam etc.
Panchavati:  river Godavari flows thro nasik,  its north side is called panchavati. Shri ram, sita and lakshman are stayed here during exile. There are 5 banyan trees are housed here, hence the name the Panchavati evolves. The  near by the there is a guha, where lord sita is stayed, its called sita guha. During exile lord ram bath in river Godavari the place is called Ramkund.  This most holiest places in river. If one`s ashes immersed here he will attain moksha.

Pandava caves : 9 km from nasik on najanagiri mountains. It is believed that during mahabharatha,  pandavas are residing here. There are many caves in the mountains said to be built by jain kings about 2000 years back.

Kapaleswar temple :  The temple is said to be worshipped by sage shri kapalar. Interesting thing is there is no nandhi is here ( which normally installed before lingam)

There are many historical places can be seen like lakshman reka( where lord lakhman mark line for sita not to cross,  surpanaka – where  lakshman cut nose of surpanaka, sister of ravan
There are many tourist operators plying this areas. Form shridi you can hire the taxi will charge about rs. 2000 to rs. 2500 per day trip to  nasik and triyambakeswar darshan.  Also there are many local tour operators in Nasik itself with very nominal charges.

3.       Kusheshswar or Grishneswar :  it is located in the village named verul near Ellora Caves in 30 kms from Aurangabad. 120 kms from SHIRDI.   This is one of oldest temple and you can do abishek here on your own and it is less crowded and always you can have pleasant darshan of lord Grishneswar. Now the renovation work is going on.

Enroute you can see the famous Daulabad Fort.  Bhandra maruthi  ( A glass Temple) and  Bibi- Ka- makbra ( Mini Taj Mahal) are can be covered in a day trip to Aurangabad. Ellora  caves are just 2 km from Grisheswar temple. This is world historic protected monument. The Ajanja caves are 100 Km from Ellora.
